Manchester United have entered “initial concrete talks” to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, as reported by Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

Former United striker Louis Saha, however, is skeptical about the move. Speaking to BoyleSports, Saha voiced concerns about Gyokeres’ ability to handle the pressure at United:
“It might be surprising, but I don’t think Man Utd should go after Viktor Gyokeres. He is in great form, even in the Champions League, but Sporting doesn’t face the same pressures as Manchester United. It’s a completely different animal.”
Saha believes that a more experienced forward like Harry Kane would better fit the club’s ambitions.
