Despite being reduced to 10 men just 15 minutes into the match after Metehan Baltaci was sent off for a reckless challenge, Galatasaray displayed resilience throughout.
The hosts capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Garry Rodrigues putting Sivasspor ahead 10 minutes later. However, Galatasaray’s fightback began when Yunus Akgun equalized nine minutes before halftime.
Osimhen’s Decisive Impact
In the closing stages of the first half, Osimhen earned a penalty after being brought down inside the box. The Nigerian international converted the spot-kick with precision, bringing his league tally to seven goals and three assists in nine appearances for Galatasaray.
Baris Yilmaz extended the visitors’ lead in the 53rd minute, making it 3-1. Sivasspor’s Bekir Boke added a late goal in stoppage time, but it was not enough to prevent Galatasaray from taking all three points.
