Under the guidance of coach Moses Aduku, the team will compete with African giants TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Morocco’s AS FAR for the coveted title.
This nomination comes after a standout performance in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, where Edo Queens finished an impressive fourth in their debut appearance at the competition.
In addition to their Champions League achievement, the Benin City-based club also claimed the WAFU B Women’s Champions League title earlier this year.
The team is now aiming to make history by becoming the first Nigerian club to win the prestigious CAF Women’s Club of the Year award. The winner will be announced during the award ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16.
