Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named as one of the final nominees for the prestigious CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.
The 24-year-old Nigerian star will contend with Zambia’s Barbara Banda and Morocco’s Sanna Mssoudy for the coveted honor. This marks the first time Nnadozie has reached the final shortlist for this category.
Last year, her compatriot, Asisat Oshoala, made history by winning the award for a record sixth time.
Nnadozie, who plays for Paris FC, is also in the running for the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, a title she secured during its inaugural edition last year.
Her exceptional performances, particularly for Nigeria at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, have cemented her status as one of the best in the game.
The CAF Awards ceremony is set to take place on Monday, December 16, in Marrakech, Morocco, where Africa’s finest footballers will be celebrated.
