Arne Slot has revealed that Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are likely to return from injury for Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against Fulham.

As the Reds aim to maintain their four-point lead over Chelsea, the manager is optimistic about the return of both forwards.

Jota, who has been sidelined since October due to a rib injury, and Chiesa, who has struggled with fitness since September, are nearing full fitness.

Chiesa, a summer signing, has made just one Premier League appearance this season, but he scored for Liverpool’s Under-21s last week, signaling that he is close to a return.

In a press conference, Slot stated: “I think they are available. We have one more training session to go, and we’ll see.

Federico missed a lot, so we need to assess. Diogo could be in the squad, maybe Federico too, but it depends on our available numbers.”

Slot also discussed Chiesa’s struggle to regain full fitness after months without regular playing time:

“He needs match minutes, but it’s difficult for a manager to know what to expect when a player hasn’t played for so long. The Southampton game could be a good opportunity for him to get minutes.”

In addition to the injury returns, goalkeeper Alisson Becker is fully fit after making his comeback against Girona in the Champions League. Slot expressed confidence but also cautioned that Alisson must stay available:

“We’ll see in the upcoming weeks if he can stay fit. Hopefully, he won’t face as much work in games.”

However, Liverpool will still miss defenders Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, and Kostas Tsimikas for the weekend’s fixture.
