Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to signing a new contract with Liverpool, ensuring his stay at the club beyond this season.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, discussions between Salah and Liverpool’s management have seen a complete turnaround, with growing optimism about an agreement being reached soon.
The 32-year-old forward has been in sensational form this season, netting 13 goals in 15 Premier League matches and adding two more in the Champions League.
His outstanding performances have been pivotal in keeping Liverpool atop both the Premier League and Champions League tables under manager Arne Slot.
Despite his brilliance on the pitch, Salah’s future had appeared uncertain. In November, the Egyptian star hinted at a likely departure, stating, “We are almost in December, and I haven’t received an offer to stay at the club yet, so I am probably more out than in.”
However, recent reports suggest a significant shift in negotiations, with the club eager to retain their talisman.
Salah has also been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, but Liverpool is determined to finalize a new deal before January 1, when he could legally negotiate with foreign clubs.
In addition to Salah, the Reds are negotiating contract renewals for Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, both of whom also face expiring contracts next summer.
While manager Arne Slot has avoided speculation about their futures, he emphasized their importance to the team, stating, “They play at a very good club and do very well at the moment. Mo is one of the reasons we score goals and keep clean sheets.”
Liverpool’s board is keen to secure the futures of all three players, avoiding the risk of losing them on free transfers.
For now, the focus remains on cementing Salah’s position at the club, a move that would solidify the Reds’ ambitions this season.
