The Atalanta winger received the prestigious award during a grand ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night.
Lookman follows in the footsteps of his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who claimed the honor last year.
Speaking about his win, Lookman expressed his delight:
“This is an incredible achievement and an incredible moment,” he said. “It’s special to be part of a group of great players who have accomplished so much in the game. They are legends.”
