Once a prolific forward, Rashford has struggled to find form over the past 18 months, and his absence from England’s squad since March further underscores his decline.

Gary Lineker expressed his support for Rashford, emphasizing the importance of his well-being and urging a resolution that benefits both the player and the club.

“I hope he’s okay first and foremost,” Lineker said, acknowledging the pressures footballers face.

He suggested that a separation might be necessary to reignite Rashford’s career, though he remains hopeful for a turnaround under Manchester United’s management.

Manager Ruben Amorim has backed Rashford despite omitting him from the squad in United’s recent dramatic victory over Manchester City.

“He’s a big talent,” Amorim stated, stressing his commitment to helping Rashford return to top form.

He added, “We are better with Marcus Rashford, and we’ll do our best to push him to his best level.”

Former England captain Alan Shearer echoed similar sentiments, urging Rashford and the club to find a mutual resolution.

He noted that Manchester United cannot afford to “carry any passengers” as they navigate a challenging season.

Shearer highlighted the manager’s need to prioritize the team’s success, even if it means making tough decisions about players like Rashford.

As January approaches, the question looms: will Rashford remain at Old Trafford, or will a fresh start elsewhere spark his resurgence?
