Mikel Arteta has declined to comment on Arsenal’s rumored interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford amid growing speculation about the player’s future.

Rashford, now 27, fueled transfer talk earlier this week during an interview with Henry Winter. The England international admitted he’s ready for a “new challenge” away from Old Trafford.

“When I leave, it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings.’ You won’t hear any negative comments from me about Manchester United,” Rashford said.

“That’s just who I am. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past, and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave, I’ll make a statement, and it will come directly from me.”

Arsenal has been listed as third favorites to secure Rashford’s signature in January, behind Paris Saint-Germain and the Saudi Pro League. However, Arteta refused to entertain speculation during his press conference on Friday.

Asked if he could revive Rashford’s career at Arsenal, Arteta firmly replied, “No, and you know that I’m not going to talk about players from other clubs.”

Meanwhile, Rashford’s exclusion from United’s squad during their 4-3 Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham has only intensified rumors about his potential departure. Despite this, United manager Ruben Amorim insists Rashford remains part of his plans.

“Tomorrow we have training, and he will be there preparing for the next game,” Amorim said, referring to Sunday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

“He is a United player. Everyone has a future at Manchester United.”

As Rashford’s situation unfolds, clubs across Europe are monitoring closely, with the January transfer window approaching fast.
