Newly-appointed Wolves boss Vitor Pereira revealed on Friday that no final decision has been made about Cunha’s inclusion.
“I’m not sure because we haven’t decided. He is an important player in our team,” Pereira admitted.
Cunha, who has netted eight Premier League goals this season, is currently under scrutiny by the Football Association.
Earlier this week, the Brazilian forward was charged with misconduct following an altercation after Wolves’ 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town last Saturday.
In the post-match melee, Cunha was seen pushing a member of Ipswich’s security staff, knocking their glasses off.
The incident has put him at risk of a potential ban, but Wolves remain confident he will feature against Leicester as the FA’s final ruling is expected next week.
This week also marked a turning point for Wolves as the club announced Vitor Pereira as their new manager, replacing Gary O’Neil. Pereira, 56, has built an extensive coaching resume, including stints with Olympiacos, Fenerbahce, Corinthians, and Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia.
Discussing his career journey, Pereira shared his long-standing ambition to manage in England. “The last 14 years of my career, my focus was to come to England.
To compete with the best coaches, this is the seat I want to be in,” Pereira said.
He recalled a pivotal moment when a potential move to England was diverted. “When I left Porto, my target was a club in England.
I even had meetings, but a prince from Saudi Arabia convinced me to go there instead,” Pereira explained.
Now, Pereira sees Wolves as the perfect opportunity to achieve his Premier League dream. “Wolves took the decisive step to make this happen.
I’m ready to compete and challenge myself in this league,” he concluded.
