The 28-year-old generously handed out free food, including turkeys, to help those unable to afford festive dinners. Iwobi credited his upbringing for inspiring this act of kindness.
“My dad always gave back, whether to family, neighbors, or even strangers in Nigeria,” he shared with BBC Sport Africa.
“Both my parents instilled in me the importance of helping others, regardless of their circumstances. Now, with my influence, I feel it’s my responsibility to do the same.”
Iwobi, who currently plays for Fulham, has been in excellent form, netting five Premier League goals this season. He is expected to feature in Fulham’s Boxing Day derby against Chelsea.
