West Ham Humiliated by Liverpool as Injury Adds to Misery

West Ham endured a disastrous day at the London Stadium, falling to a humiliating 5-0 defeat against league leaders Liverpool.

To compound their misery, star player and captain Jarrod Bowen was forced off with an ankle injury following a challenge from Alexis Mac Allister.

Bowen’s injury added to the gloom, with Lopetegui providing no immediate update. “We will have to assess him and we will know in the coming days,” he said.

However, the club’s official website expressed cautious optimism about Bowen’s availability for their New Year clash against Manchester City.

Defender Dinos Mavropanos addressed the fans after the match, apologizing for the poor performance. “It’s not the display we wished for, and we want to say sorry to our fans,” he said.

“There were silly mistakes throughout, and it wasn’t good enough. We need to move on quickly and focus on the next game now, and make sure we come back stronger.”
