Mohamed Salah has highlighted Liverpool’s looming contract crisis with a subtle yet pointed social media post. The Egyptian forward, alongside teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, is in the final six months of his contract, leaving their futures uncertain.

Reports suggest Alexander-Arnold is being targeted by Real Madrid, while Salah has been linked to the Saudi Pro League. Despite this, all three remain pivotal to Liverpool’s campaign—Salah leads the Premier League scoring charts with 18 goals, Van Dijk anchors the defense, and Alexander-Arnold continues as the first-choice right-back despite competition from Conor Bradley.

Salah recently shared a picture on Instagram featuring the trio during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United, tagging Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk but leaving the post without a caption. This subtle gesture has fueled speculation about their importance to the team.

When asked about his future, Salah revealed little progress in contract talks, telling Sky Sports: “It’s the last six months. There is no progress. We are far away from any agreement.” He added, “It’s my last year, so I want to achieve something special for the city.”

Van Dijk echoed similar sentiments, admitting no updates on his situation. “I don’t think anything will change soon. Right now, it’s all about focusing on Spurs and our upcoming matches,” the Dutch defender stated.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s approach for Alexander-Arnold was turned down by Liverpool, underlining their intent to keep him for now. However, with no guarantees on contract renewals, the Reds face a daunting task to secure the futures of their star players before they potentially leave on free transfers.
