Ruben Amorim has raised questions about Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United following their FA Cup victory over Arsenal on Sunday.
United advanced to the fourth round after a tense penalty shootout win at the Emirates Stadium, setting up a clash with Leicester City.
Rashford, however, was absent from the matchday squad for the trip to London, extending his streak to seven games without an appearance.
The 27-year-old forward has signaled his desire for a “new challenge,” with his brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, traveling to Italy this week to negotiate with AC Milan.
A January transfer now seems likely, and Amorim offered little clarity on Rashford’s situation. When asked if the England international had played his final game for United, Amorim replied, “I don’t know.
He is a Manchester United player. He loves the club, but I have to make decisions. Let’s see what happens next.”
Former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now an advisor for AC Milan, commented on the potential move. “I know Rashford well.
He’s grown into a great player at United. Milan is a massive club, and everyone wants to come here. It’s not an easy deal, but we’ll see,” said Ibrahimovic.
With Rashford’s absence and ongoing transfer rumors, his future at United remains uncertain, making a January departure increasingly plausible.
