Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe provided a positive injury update on Alexander Isak ahead of their Premier League clash with Wolves tomorrow night.

The Magpies have been in terrific form recently, driven by the brilliance of their star striker. Isak has been in red-hot form, scoring 10 goals in his last nine matches across all competitions. His contributions include the opener in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal last week.

Although the 25-year-old missed Sunday’s FA Cup third-round victory at Bromley, there’s hope he will return to the starting lineup for Wolves’ visit to St. James’ Park.

Sven Botman, Jacob Murphy, and Joe Willock also missed Sunday’s game, but Howe remains optimistic about their availability alongside Isak.

“We’ll reassess them today,” Howe explained. “They were left out for valid reasons, but nothing too serious, we believe. Just minor issues that needed time to settle. Hopefully, they’ll all be ready.”

When asked specifically about Isak, Howe added: “Alex is eager to get back on the pitch. I’d love to see him keep scoring, but the priority is that the team works well with him, and he works well with the team. That synergy is crucial.

We’ve been creating and scoring recently, which has boosted our confidence, and we want to maintain that momentum.”

However, there’s less positive news about Harvey Barnes, who is sidelined with another injury.

“He’s had a scan,” Howe confirmed. “It’s not too serious, but he’ll miss the next few games. We’re estimating he’ll be out for about a month.”

With Newcastle aiming to maintain their strong form, fans will be eager to see how the lineup shapes up against Wolves.
