Spurs injury woes continue as Solanke faces six weeks out

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is set to miss six weeks after suffering a knee injury during training, further deepening the club’s ongoing injury crisis.

Solanke, who has scored seven Premier League goals this season, was absent during the 3-2 defeat to Everton and the 3-2 Europa League win over Hoffenheim.

Manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that while the 27-year-old won’t require surgery, his absence adds to Tottenham’s growing list of sidelined players, now totaling ten.

Richarlison, recently back from his own injury, started in Solanke’s place but remains short of match fitness.

With Tottenham sitting in 15th place, the timing couldn’t be worse. They face a challenging schedule, including a Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool in February.

Postecoglou hinted that January signings are unlikely, saying, “The club is trying, but nothing imminent. Things can change quickly, so we’re still hopeful.”

The squad now faces a three-day recovery before hosting Leicester City on Sunday, with resources stretched thin as Postecoglou navigates a difficult period for the club.
