Chelsea has reportedly sealed a deal with FC Kairat for the highly promising 16-year-old Dastan Satpaev, paying €4m (£3.4m) to set a new transfer record for the Kazakhstan Premier League.

Satpaev, who will turn 17 in August, has signed a five-year contract with the option to extend for another year. Due to current transfer rules, Satpaev won’t join Chelsea until he reaches the age of 18.

However, Chelsea’s transfer ambitions don’t end there, as they are also in talks to bring 19-year-old midfielder Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne for €15m (£12.6m).

Ongoing negotiations suggest that Chelsea could send Amougou on loan to their sister club, Strasbourg, once the deal is finalized.

Amougou, who has spent his entire senior career at Saint-Etienne, has made 18 appearances in the first team.

His impressive performances earned him a place in the France U19 squad, where he has seven caps. The 2023 U17 World Cup saw Amougou win the Bronze Ball, ranking as one of the top players in the competition.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is also targeting Parma’s £40m-rated goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki, as part of their long-term strategy.

The 22-year-old Japan international has drawn attention from Chelsea’s expanded scouting network, with the club viewing him as a potential key player for the future amid growing concerns over Robert Sanchez’s recent performances.
