Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has stirred excitement ahead of the 2026 World Cup by boldly claiming that Nigeria’s Super Eagles are the only team capable of stopping Thomas Tuchel’s England. According to softfootball.com, Odumodublvck made the statement via his X account (formerly Twitter), expressing confidence in Nigeria’s ability to challenge the newly appointed England manager on football’s biggest stage.

The rapper’s comment comes in the wake of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano’s report that Tuchel, the former Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager, has officially signed on to become England’s next head coach. The German tactician is expected to take charge from January 2025, with a contract running through to July 2026, leading England to the World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

In his post, Odumodublvck wrote, “When Tuchel takes over for England, the only team that will be able to stop them from winning that World Cup is the Super Eagles.” His confidence in Nigeria’s squad contrasts with the Super Eagles’ current struggles in their World Cup qualifying campaign, as the team looks to regain form in time for the tournament.

Tuchel’s appointment has been widely praised in football circles, with Portugal’s head coach Roberto Martinez offering support for the move, calling Tuchel a “wonderful coach” who will perform admirably in the role. Tuchel’s resume, featuring trophies such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea, suggests England will be one of the top contenders in 2026.

Despite Nigeria’s current challenges, Odumodublvck’s statement reflects the passionate belief that the Super Eagles could rise to the occasion and challenge the best under Tuchel’s leadership at the upcoming World Cup.
