Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho after their failed pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.

United, facing pressure to comply with Premier League financial rules, are prepared to entertain offers, with Chelsea reportedly readying a bid before the transfer deadline and Napoli also monitoring the situation.

Spurs, struggling with injuries and languishing in 15th place, saw a £50 million bid for Tel accepted, prompting chairman Daniel Levy to personally negotiate in Germany. However, the 18-year-old declined the move, forcing Spurs to seek alternatives.

While United value Garnacho at around £60 million, Tottenham initially explored a loan deal, though it’s unclear if the Argentine winger would consider a switch to North London.

Despite a slow start under manager Ruben Amorim, Garnacho has recently regained his spot in the United squad, earning praise for his adaptability.

Amorim highlighted his improved attitude and work ethic, contrasting it with Marcus Rashford, whose future remains uncertain. Rashford, keen on a move away, has drawn interest from Aston Villa, though his preference for Barcelona complicates any potential transfer.

With the clock ticking towards the deadline, Tottenham must act swiftly if they wish to secure Garnacho’s services.
