Kelechi Iheanacho has secured a loan switch to Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough from LaLiga outfit Sevilla, where he struggled for game time.
The Nigerian forward played a key role in Leicester City’s promotion campaign last season before joining Sevilla on a free transfer in the summer.
However, limited opportunities saw him make just 11 appearances, scoring three goals across all competitions.
Now 28, Iheanacho brings valuable experience to Middlesbrough, having played at the top level for clubs like Manchester City and Leicester.
Throughout his career, he has netted 85 goals in over 300 games, with an additional 15 international goals in 57 appearances for Nigeria.
His career began at Manchester City, where he won the League Cup at just 18, before making the switch to Leicester City in 2017.
Now, he aims to make an impact at Middlesbrough as they chase promotion.
