Mathys Tel’s future remains uncertain despite his last-minute switch to Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old forward had initially rejected a north London move but ended up signing for Spurs on deadline day.
Before that, Manchester United and Arsenal expressed interest, yet neither club could agree on terms with Bayern.
United had considered Tel as a reinforcement after the exits of Marcus Rashford and Antony but refused to pay Bayern’s €5m loan fee.
Now, despite settling in at Tottenham—where he made his debut in a Carabao Cup loss to Liverpool—reports suggest Tel still sees a future at Old Trafford.

Spurs have the option to sign him permanently for £45m, but a return to Bayern also remains possible if Vincent Kompany changes his stance on the player.
Tel, however, has emphasized that Tottenham was the best choice at the time, citing conversations with club officials as key in his decision.

Meanwhile, United boss Ruben Amorim defended his lack of transfer activity, stating he prefers to focus on improving his squad through training rather than immediate signings.
