Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been named among the top seeds for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, joining host nation Côte d’Ivoire and defending champions Senegal in leading their respective groups.
Côte d’Ivoire, as the tournament hosts, will be automatically placed in position A1 of Group A, while Senegal takes C1 as reigning champions. Nigeria, who finished third in the last edition, will occupy position B1.
The tournament will feature 13 teams, split into three groups:
- Group A will consist of five teams.
- Groups B and C will each have four teams.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed sides, will advance to the quarter-finals.
The official draw will take place at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday.
