Cesc Fabregas has been backed to take charge of Chelsea in the future by his former teammate Loic Remy. The 37-year-old, who retired from playing two years ago, has made an impressive start to his managerial career at Como.
Fabregas, who played under legendary coaches like Arsène Wenger, Pep Guardiola, and José Mourinho, guided Como to Serie A last season and is now fighting to keep them in the top flight.

Remy, who won the Premier League alongside Fabregas at Chelsea in 2014/15, believes his former teammate is destined for the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
“Cesc Fabregas can be a future manager at Chelsea,” Remy told Plejmo.com. “You could tell as a player that he saw the game differently. Even in training, his passes were unpredictable but perfect. He has the vision to be a top coach, and I can see him returning to Chelsea one day.”
Meanwhile, current Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted the club is no longer the dominant force it once was.
After a strong start to the season, Chelsea’s form has nosedived, winning just two of their last eight league matches. They were two points behind Liverpool in December but have since struggled, falling behind in the race for a top-four finish.

Their recent FA Cup exit to Brighton has sparked concerns among fans, especially after Maresca suggested that being knocked out could help them focus on the league and Conference League. Some supporters saw this as a lack of ambition from a club that has historically competed on multiple fronts.
Chelsea has won multiple trophies in eight seasons since 1998, including five Premier League titles and two Champions League triumphs. However, Maresca insists that the current team is not yet ready to compete at that level.
“The fans are 100 percent fair and correct,” Maresca admitted. “I grew up watching Chelsea winning games and trophies, but this is not the same Chelsea.”
He continued: “We are not ready to compete in four competitions right now. Of course, we were unhappy after the Brighton game, but if there’s a positive, it’s that we can focus on the two competitions we’re still in. But I completely understand the fans’ frustration. They are used to seeing this club compete for trophies, and it’s our job to bring Chelsea back to that level.”
While Maresca works to rebuild Chelsea, Fabregas continues to impress as a young manager. If his rise continues, a future return to Stamford Bridge might not be out of the question.
