Currently, the 27-year-old is with Real Sociedad, where he has faced significant challenges due to injuries since joining from Almería in the summer of 2022.
Sadiq’s tenure at Real Sociedad has been plagued by physical setbacks that have limited his opportunities on the pitch. So far this season, he has made only two starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga, as well as featuring in the Copa del Rey and UEFA Europa League, where he has provided one assist. His performance last season was similarly lackluster, recording two goals and one assist over 12 starts and 14 substitute appearances in La Liga. In total, Sadiq has managed just four goals for the Spanish side in two years.
Despite these struggles, Sadiq has shown flashes of his potential when fit. His combination of size, strength, and speed could be precisely what Getafe needs to enhance their attacking threat. Currently sitting 16th in La Liga with only eight points from nine matches, Getafe is looking to bolster their squad to avoid relegation. Bordalás believes that Sadiq’s attributes would complement Getafe’s high-pressure playing style, making him an appealing target for the club.
