Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze has declared Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina the best right-back in the Premier League this season.
Aina has been instrumental in Forest’s impressive campaign, helping them push for a top-four finish. The Nigerian full-back has not only been solid defensively but has also contributed two goals and an assist in 25 league appearances.
Speaking on Brila, Udeze was full of praise for Aina’s performances. “For me, Ola Aina is the best right-back in the Premier League this season,” said the 2002 FIFA World Cup star.
Udeze also advised Aina to consider leaving Nottingham Forest if a big club comes calling in the summer. “If I were him and a club like Manchester City made an offer, I would leave,” he added.
Aina’s current contract expires at the end of the season, but Forest has the option to extend it for another year. Reports indicate that the club is keen to trigger this clause and keep the Nigerian international beyond the summer.
