Osimhen is sidelined due to injury, and Boniface is the frontrunner to take his place in the starting lineup. The 23-year-old striker emphasized that he doesn’t feel the pressure of carrying the team’s goal-scoring burden.
“I don’t feel any pressure. It’s not just me; we have other strikers, Kelechi, Awoniyi, and myself. If I play, if any of us play, we will try to get the win,” Boniface stated in an interview with Football Fans Tribe.
He also highlighted that the team’s overall performance is his primary focus.
“For me, the most important thing is the team’s performance. If we are winning and I’m not scoring, then I don’t have any problem. Whatever people want to say, they should say it, but as long as we are getting the win, then it’s fine by me.”
