Manchester United’s struggles continue, and former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara isn’t holding back.
Following United’s latest defeat a 1-0 loss to Tottenham O’Hara called the team “one of the worst I’ve ever seen” and accused several players of lacking effort.
Speaking on talkSPORT, O’Hara tore into the squad, singling out Joshua Zirkzee as an “imposter” and claiming that veteran midfielder Casemiro “can’t run.” However, his most surprising criticism was directed at United captain Bruno Fernandes.

“Bruno Fernandes looks like he hates football,” O’Hara said. “You need to build a team around him because he’s your best player, but instead, he’s being forced into positions where he’s completely ineffective. He’s frustrated, he’s marking wingers, and you can see he’s had enough.”
O’Hara also didn’t hold back on United manager Ruben Amorim, insisting the new boss’ tactics are failing miserably.
“The formation is a joke,” he said. “I could do a better job than Amorim right now. Surely he can see it’s not working just go back to basics.”
Sunday’s defeat marked United’s eighth under Amorim, leaving them in a dire 15th place just three spots above the relegation zone. The Red Devils were already struggling under Erik ten Hag, sitting 13th when he was sacked, but former Premier League striker Glenn Murray believes things have “probably” gotten even worse.
“It’s hard to believe, but I think they actually look worse than they did under Ten Hag,” Murray told BBC Radio 5 Live. “There’s no belief. The players are internationals they should be able to adapt, but they’re playing as individuals, not a team.”
Murray also pointed out a worrying trend: players leaving United and thriving elsewhere.
“United feels like a stepping-stone club now,” he added. “Players come in, do their bit, then leave for better opportunities.”
With Everton up next, Amorim will be desperate to turn things around before United’s crisis deepens further.
