Securing victories in both matches will guarantee the Super Eagles a spot at the AFCON 2025 finals, set to take place in Morocco.
Currently, the Super Eagles lead Group D with four points from two matches. Eguavoen stressed the importance of wrapping up qualification early to avoid last-minute pressure.
“We need to pick up six points against Libya to secure our place in Morocco even before Matchday 5. We don’t want any anxiety in this qualifying campaign,” Eguavoen stated.
He acknowledged the absence of Victor Osimhen but expressed confidence in the other strikers to deliver the goals needed for success in Uyo and Libya.
