Neto, who arrived from Bournemouth after Arsenal’s primary goalkeeper target Joan Garcia proved too expensive, remains sidelined for selection due to being cup-tied in earlier rounds of the League Cup.
He is expected to wait until at least January, with the FA Cup being the most likely occasion for his debut, unless unforeseen injuries or changes prompt his earlier inclusion.
The 35-year-old was primarily seen as a depth option and a veteran presence in the dressing room when Arsenal signed him.
