An ‘Olimpico’ goal is a rare feat where a player scores directly from a corner kick, and Pulisic executed it perfectly with an inswinging delivery from the left. The corner caught Club Brugge goalkeeper Simon Mignolet off guard, resulting in a spectacular opener for AC Milan, who ultimately triumphed 3-1 at the San Siro.

Reflecting on the moment after the match, Pulisic admitted, “Today I was a bit lucky, but it still counts as a goal!” He expressed his joy, stating, “I didn’t try to score directly, but it was a good cross, and then a nice goal came out. I work very hard every day, and I always want to be decisive in the matches. I’m scoring a lot of goals and assists; I hope to continue like this.”

The 26-year-old has made a significant impact since joining AC Milan from Chelsea in 2023, contributing five goals and three assists in just eight Serie A matches this season. His performances have earned him praise from manager Paulo Fonseca, who highlighted Pulisic’s “fantastic” display in their recent 1-0 win over Udinese.

However, concerns have been raised about Pulisic’s workload. United States head coach Mauricio Pochettino noted, “He is playing every single game, every single minute. Sometimes we need to protect him.” Pochettino emphasized the importance of ensuring Pulisic remains fit and in form, recognizing his immense talent and contribution to the team.
