Ademola Lookman was in action for Atalanta on Saturday, but his presence wasn’t enough to secure victory as they played out a goalless draw against relegation-threatened Venezia in Serie A.
A win by at least three goals would have temporarily sent Atalanta to the top of the table, but they struggled to break down a well-organized Venezia defense. The visitors, who sit 19th with just 18 points and remain winless in 2025, frustrated the Europa League champions throughout the match.
The draw leaves Atalanta in third place with 55 points, two behind league leaders Inter and one adrift of Napoli in second.
Lookman, making his 21st league appearance of the season, couldn’t add to his 12-goal tally. Despite dominating possession and creating multiple opportunities, Atalanta failed to convert their chances.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men had three shots on target to Venezia’s two, with 11 more efforts off target compared to the visitors’ three. Atalanta controlled 59% of possession but lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.
