United are enduring a miserable season, languishing in 14th place in the Premier League and trailing Liverpool by a staggering 33 points. However, Silvestre believes Yoro is a rare positive in an otherwise bleak campaign.
The Red Devils made a bold move last summer, signing Yoro from Lille for over £50 million, making him one of the most expensive teenage defenders in history. The 19-year-old attracted interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool before opting for Old Trafford.
His start at United was delayed by a pre-season injury that sidelined him for four months, but since December, he has established himself in the team, proving his talent on the big stage.

Silvestre sees immense potential in Yoro, comparing him to Arsenal’s Saliba. “From his time at Lille, we saw his athletic dominance, smart decision-making, and excellent timing,” he told the Daily Mirror.
He admitted that Yoro still has room to grow but believes he will become a major force at United. “He’s not the finished article, but when you look at Saliba and Konate for France, I believe he’s next in line.”
Despite their league struggles, United are still fighting in the FA Cup and will face Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, aiming for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Rio Ferdinand has also backed Yoro as a future star, even claiming he could challenge Saliba for the title of the world’s best defender. “Saliba will be the best when Van Dijk steps down, but Yoro will push him all the way,” Ferdinand predicted.
