Osasuna lineup concerns ahead of Barcelona clash

Aimar Oroz

Osasuna could be without key midfielder Aimar Oroz for Saturday’s game against Barcelona. If unfit, Kike Barja is expected to replace him in the starting lineup.

Oroz, who scored twice in a 3-3 draw with Valencia, has made 29 appearances this season. His absence would be a blow for Vicente Moreno’s squad in this crucial match.

Ante Budimir will be the focal point of Osasuna’s attack, having netted 14 La Liga goals. Only Lewandowski and Mbappe have outscored him in the league this season.

Moreno is likely to make defensive changes, with Juan Cruz potentially coming in for Abel Bretones at left-back. David Garcia and Catena are expected to lead the backline.

Jon Moncayola and Lucas Torro will control the midfield, providing balance and support for the attacking trio of Bryan Zaragoza, Ruben Garcia, and Kike Barja.

Osasuna pulled off a shock 4-2 win over Barcelona in their last meeting, but historically, the Catalans have dominated this fixture, winning eight of the last ten games.

Despite their underdog status, Osasuna will be confident in their attacking capabilities. Budimir’s form could trouble Barcelona’s defense at Camp Nou on Saturday night.

Predicted lineup: Herrera; Areso, Boyomo, Catena, Cruz; Moncayola, Torro; Ruben Garcia, Barja, Zaragoza; Budimir.
