Roy Keane applauded David Raya for his outstanding saves, which helped Arsenal secure a point against Manchester United. The Gunners, struggling in the title race, now sit 15 points behind league leaders Liverpool after another frustrating draw.
Declan Rice’s second-half goal canceled out Bruno Fernandes’ first-half free-kick, but Arsenal came close to losing at Old Trafford. United had two golden chances in the second half, and it was Raya’s brilliance that denied them.
Noussair Mazraoui’s well-timed run into the box saw him meet Diogo Dalot’s cross, but Raya reacted superbly, using his foot to divert the shot wide. The Spanish goalkeeper made another incredible stop in injury time, blocking Fernandes’ effort and scrambling back to prevent the ball from crossing the line.

Discussing Raya’s last-minute save, Keane highlighted how Fernandes’ positioning made it slightly easier for the Arsenal defense to recover. The former United captain pointed out that Fernandes’ technique, although excellent, allowed enough time for Raya to intervene.
Keane reserved his highest praise for Raya’s stop against Mazraoui, describing it as a world-class moment. He emphasized how the Moroccan did everything right with his shot, but Raya’s reflexes were simply outstanding, keeping Arsenal in the game.
While Raya’s heroics were a bright spot, Keane was unimpressed with Arsenal’s overall performance. He criticized their lack of cutting edge, questioning their mentality and ability to finish off struggling teams like United.

He pointed out that Arsenal had scored seven goals midweek but failed to show the same confidence at Old Trafford. Keane urged them to shift their focus from Liverpool and be more concerned about teams closing in behind them.
For Arsenal, the challenge remains clear turning promising performances into wins. Keane believes that without a ruthless mentality, finishing second means little in the grand scheme of their ambitions.
