Following Liverpool’s Champions League exit to Paris Saint-Germain, Van Dijk addressed the media ahead of the EFL Cup final against Newcastle United. The 33-year-old clarified that he remains committed to the team for now, stating, “I can’t think about what is going to happen after the summer. There are multiple factors, and as long as I am calm, there’s no need to panic.”
Van Dijk’s importance to Liverpool is undeniable. Since joining from Southampton in January 2018, he has transformed the Reds’ defense, leading them to Premier League and Champions League glory.
