Victor Osimhen has stressed the importance of Galatasaray maintaining their current momentum as they push for a third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title.
The Nigerian striker was the star of the show in Galatasaray’s 4-0 thrashing of Antalyaspor on Friday night, scoring a brilliant hat-trick while Alvaro Morata added the fourth goal. The victory extended Galatasaray’s unbeaten run this season and solidified their spot at the top of the table with 71 points from 27 matches.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Osimhen praised the team’s performance and the support from the fans. He highlighted the impressive display of teammate Barış Alper Yılmaz and welcomed the return of Yunus Akgün, who played a crucial role in the win.

“First of all, I think we need to congratulate the team and then our fans. We did a great job from the first whistle to the last. Everyone gave their best, and Barış was incredible,” Osimhen said.
The 26-year-old also commended Morata, acknowledging the Spaniard’s experience and selflessness. “Morata is a very important and great player. We respect each other. I believe he would do the same for me in a similar situation. This unity and love within the team make us strong both on and off the pitch.”
Osimhen emphasized that the team’s strong bond is key to their success and expressed confidence in continuing their winning streak. “We will try to build on this momentum and keep pushing for the title,” he added.

With Galatasaray in a strong position to retain their title, Osimhen’s form and leadership will be crucial as they approach the final stretch of the season.
