The 23-year-old Dutch forward joined United from Bologna for £36.5 million and made an impactful Premier League debut in August, scoring a late winner against Fulham.
However, he has since struggled to replicate that success, failing to score in his 11 subsequent appearances.
Despite his challenges, Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Zirkzee is committed to staying, confident that he can overcome his dip in form and prove himself as Erik ten Hag’s top choice up front.
Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that, despite recent rumors of interest from Juventus and other Italian clubs, Zirkzee is fully focused on his United future, emphasizing that he chose United over Italy just three months ago and isn’t considering a quick exit.
Zirkzee signed a contract through 2029 upon his arrival, showing his long-term commitment to United.
Despite not starting in the team’s recent matches, including a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, Zirkzee is eager to fight for his place and help the team as they travel to West Ham.
He recently featured for 55 minutes in a Europa League draw against Fenerbahce, where Rasmus Hojlund replaced him as United continues to manage players’ fitness.
As Zirkzee works to fulfill his potential in the Premier League, he remains optimistic about becoming a key player for United, proving his worth and resilience to the club and fans alike.
He’s had a rough start, but sometimes players just need time to settle.
