Wood, who has been in stellar form with seven goals in nine matches, scored twice in Forest’s recent 3-1 win over Leicester City.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is also assessing other key players, including Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson, and Jota Silva, due to minor injuries.

Santo expressed confidence in the squad’s depth but noted Wood’s value, saying, “He brings something unique to our play.”

Elliot Anderson, another recent standout, has been managing foot pain from a previous match. Espirito Santo praised Anderson’s commitment to being available, despite his discomfort, and emphasized the importance of making the right selection decisions amid these knocks.
