Calafiori, who joined Arsenal for £42 million over the summer, has been sidelined for the past two matches after an injury in the Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Odegaard, absent since early September due to an international injury, will also miss the game despite recent hopes of a return.
In a boost for the Gunners, Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to play after recovering from a knock sustained during last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Although he missed Arsenal’s Carabao Cup victory over Preston, Arteta confirmed that Gabriel would join the squad if he completes the final training session without issues. Arteta expressed optimism over Gabriel’s readiness, noting, “He hasn’t trained yet, but he could be okay for tomorrow.”
As Arsenal aims to close the five-point gap between them and Manchester City, Arteta acknowledged the challenging road ahead in their title campaign. Meanwhile, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, sitting 12th in the table, is seeking a return to form following their recent Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea.
