Rogers, a product of Manchester City’s academy, joined Aston Villa after an impressive spell at Middlesbrough and has quickly become a crucial player for Unai Emery’s side.

Having started all ten Premier League games this season, the 22-year-old has scored three goals, showcasing his impact and steady progression.

Hasselbaink highlighted similarities between Rogers and Palmer, who have both shown the ambition to establish themselves in the Premier League by moving away from Manchester City.

Palmer, who scored 22 goals with 11 assists last season and has continued his stellar form at Chelsea, serves as an inspiration for Rogers. Hasselbaink admires Rogers’ journey, applauding his impressive start at Villa and the confidence he brings to the team.

Rogers and Palmer are set to face each other on December 1 when Aston Villa visits Stamford Bridge, providing a chance for the young talents to showcase their skills on the same pitch.
