The squad features key players including captain William Ekong, Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, winger Moses Simon, and Africa’s Player of the Year, Victor Osimhen. They will be aiming for six points to secure their spot in the final tournament.
Joining them are goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye, alongside defenders Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and the home-based Victor Collins, who will join the team for the first time.
Midfielders like Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Alhassan Yusuf Abdullahi will also play pivotal roles, while forwards such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, and Samuel Chukwueze round out the squad.
Notably, forward Sadiq Umar, playing for Real Sociedad, returns to the squad after a long absence, and Gabriel Osho will hope to make his competitive debut for Nigeria after an injury kept him from joining earlier in the year.
The Super Eagles will first travel to Abidjan to face Benin Republic at Stade Felix-Houphouet-Boigny on November 14, before heading to Uyo to play Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on November 18.
Currently leading Group D, the Super Eagles only need a point against Benin to secure their qualification, as they sit comfortably at the top with 10 points, while Rwanda trails with just five.
With a goal tally of seven for and none against, the Super Eagles are in an advantageous position heading into the final rounds, and will be aiming to maintain their dominance to secure a place at AFCON 2025.
