Sane, 28, joined Bayern from Manchester City in a £54.8 million deal in 2020 but has struggled for consistent playing time this season.
Currently in the final year of his contract, Sane has yet to start a game in either the Bundesliga or the Champions League and could leave as a free agent if an agreement isn’t reached with Bayern.
According to German outlet Bild, Sane’s priority is to remain with Bayern Munich, though he would need to agree to a pay cut from his current weekly wage of approximately €288,000 (£240,000).
Bayern officials are reportedly optimistic that Sane, who had groin surgery in July, can return to form despite a slow start to the campaign.
Arsenal and United are keeping a close watch on Sane’s situation, with both clubs seen as “serious options” if he decides to explore other opportunities.
Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, recently confirmed that discussions with Sane’s representatives are ongoing, emphasizing that the club is committed to helping the player regain his best form.
