As Ruben Amorim prepares to take over at Manchester United on November 11, the futures of several players, including Casemiro and Antony, hang in the balance.

Both have faced criticism for underwhelming performances, with former captain Gary Neville calling them “two of the worst transfers” in the club’s recent history.

However, former United midfielder Kleberson, a fellow Brazilian, sees potential for both players to succeed under Amorim’s leadership.

Casemiro, who joined United after a successful stint at Real Madrid, has endured a challenging season amid transfer rumors linking him to Saudi Arabia. Yet Kleberson believes the midfielder still has much to contribute.

“Casemiro thrives under pressure; he doesn’t let criticism get to him. He showed his commitment when he scored twice against Leicester, including a powerful header that showcased his persistence,” Kleberson said.

Antony, in his third season since his £85 million move from Ajax, has also struggled for consistency. Kleberson suggests that a new approach under Amorim could help the young winger reach his potential.

“Antony has had ups and downs, but a new manager could bring fresh confidence. He has the skills; it’s just about unlocking them on the pitch,” he added.

Reflecting on his own experience, Kleberson empathized with Antony’s journey, noting how competition can push a player to consider other options. He remains hopeful, however, that under Amorim’s guidance, both Antony and Casemiro can rediscover their best form at Old Trafford.
