Luca Toni, Italy’s former World Cup-winning striker, openly criticized the Gunners’ attacking display, saying they seemed devoid of ideas and struggled to break through Inter’s solid defense.

“They were poor in the offensive phase, only Saka attempted to beat his man occasionally,” Toni shared with Prime Italy, highlighting Arsenal’s struggles against Inter’s physicality and discipline in defense.

Arsenal, currently 12th in the Champions League standings but still in contention for a top-eight finish, must address their offensive challenges as they prepare for a difficult stretch of fixtures.

Inter Milan legend Clarence Seedorf commended Inter’s defensive resilience, noting that they “threw away the key” after taking the lead. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Thierry Henry voiced his concern over their approach in away games, calling for improvement in finishing and strategy.

Mikel Arteta defended his team’s effort, pointing to their dominance in possession, but acknowledged frustration with their lack of clinical finishing.

Arsenal had opportunities to score but couldn’t capitalize, leaving Arteta exasperated by both missed chances and two controversial penalty decisions, one for each side. With their next match against Chelsea, Arteta’s squad faces increasing pressure to find form and confidence in front of goal.
