This performance marks Osimhen’s second consecutive game on the scoresheet for Galatasaray, following his pivotal role in their 2-1 triumph over Besiktas.

The 25-year-old Nigerian striker has been a consistent force, scoring six goals across his last five matches, solidifying his impact in Galatasaray’s European campaign.

Osimhen’s first goal came in the 31st minute, putting Galatasaray up 2-1, and he doubled his tally just eight minutes later with a precise finish.

The second half saw Osimhen pushing for a hat-trick, though he narrowly missed when his header sailed over the bar, and a promising shot was blocked by Tottenham’s goalkeeper, Fraser Forster.

Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke managed to pull one back, intensifying the game’s closing moments, but Galatasaray held their ground and secured all three points.

The match turned even more challenging for Spurs after William Lankshear’s red card early in the second half, forcing them to play with ten men.

Galatasaray now sits atop the Europa League standings with ten points, boasting three wins and a draw in their last four outings. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s first defeat in the tournament pushes them down to fifth place with nine points.
