Nantes winger Moses Simon has voiced optimism regarding the Super Eagles’ chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Currently, the Nigerian team faces a challenging situation, sitting fifth in their qualifying group with just three points from four matches and still searching for their first win.
The team, managed by Augustine Eguavoen, is under pressure to reverse this trend and secure a path to the tournament.
Despite the odds, Simon remains undeterred and believes the squad possesses the talent needed to overcome these hurdles. “We have the quality, we have what it takes to win,” he shared with BBC Sport Africa, emphasizing the team’s determination.
He pointed to the recent absence of key players as a significant factor in their struggles but is hopeful they will be back to bolster the lineup in the coming year.
