Real Madrid’s Eder Militao suffered a serious knee injury during Saturday’s La Liga clash with Osasuna.

The Brazilian defender went down in visible pain around the 30-minute mark, clutching his right knee, and was stretchered off the field after several minutes of treatment.

This injury represents a significant setback for Real Madrid, who are already without veteran full-back Dani Carvajal, also sidelined due to a knee injury.

The injury comes at a challenging time for manager Carlo Ancelotti, who faces mounting pressure after recent struggles in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Militao’s previous knee injury last season saw him miss six months, only returning in March to solidify Real Madrid’s defense. His extended absence this time around would be a severe blow to Ancelotti’s side.

Earlier in the match, Militao’s compatriot Rodrygo also left the game early, clutching his bandaged thigh, raising further injury concerns. Despite these setbacks, Real Madrid appeared in control, with first-half goals from Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham guiding them towards a much-needed victory.

Vinicius, responding to his recent Ballon d’Or snub, opened the scoring with a powerful strike, and Bellingham added the second, lifting the ball over the Osasuna goalkeeper to end his 12-game goal drought.
