Ruud van Nistelrooy has opened up about his recent departure from Manchester United following the appointment of Ruben Amorim as the club’s new head coach.

Van Nistelrooy, who served as interim manager after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, managed three wins and a draw during his brief tenure. Despite speculation about continuing under Amorim, the Dutchman left the club earlier this week.
On Instagram, Van Nistelrooy expressed his gratitude, saying, “It has been an honor to represent Manchester United as a player, coach, and manager. I will always cherish the memories we shared, and I hope the club experiences many more glory days.”
Reports suggest Burnley, currently under Scott Parker, are considering Van Nistelrooy as a potential replacement amid dissatisfaction with Parker’s tactics.
Burnley previously showed interest in the former PSV manager, who remains a strong contender for future managerial roles.
