South Africa secured an impressive 2-0 victory against Uganda in their AFCON 2025 qualifying clash on November 15.

The game began with both teams displaying a cautious approach, resulting in a goalless first half. Uganda’s Taddeo Lwanga received a booking in the 42nd minute, marking one of the few notable events before the halftime whistle.
The second half saw South Africa assert their dominance. Thapelo Morena broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to put his team ahead.
As Uganda struggled to find an equalizer, Patrick Maswanganyi sealed the win with a composed finish in the 89th minute, ensuring all three points for the visitors.
This result highlights South Africa’s strength in the qualifiers, leaving Uganda with work to do in their remaining fixtures.
