Galatasaray have celebrated Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his decisive contribution in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Benin during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Osimhen’s late second-half glancing header ensured the Super Eagles secured a vital point, sealing their qualification for the tournament.
Galatasaray acknowledged his effort via social media, stating, “Congratulations to Victor Osimhen who scored the only goal for Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, securing their qualification from the group stage.”
The result leaves Nigeria atop their group with 11 points from five games, four points clear of Benin. They will face Rwanda in Uyo on Monday to wrap up their qualifying campaign.
